Description: Small ovate cell with a stipitate base, anteriorly a hyaline collar surrounding the basal part of the single flagellum which is twice the cell length. Proximal part of the flagellum quite rigid, the distal part very vibratile. Two golden brown curved chloroplasts located peripherally. Sessile on debris. The characteristic combination of a single flagellum and a pseudopodial(?) collar, combined with the presence of two golden brown chloroplasts should provide for a fairly safe identification to genus. Nutrition mixotrophic? Reproduction not observed. Marine, sessile. Not reported since original description.
