Description: Cells solitary, always orbicular in transverse section (omniradiate), cylindrical, without median constriction. Cell apex truncate; semi-cells subquadrate to subrectangular; surface with or without longitudinal grooves. Cell wall with circular rows of pores apically and subapically.
