Description: Medium-sized (ca. 50 µm) laterally compressed, oval thecate flagellate with a cingulum near the apical pole; epicone with a prominent pore; at the ventral side, a short sulcal furrow is joined by narrow lists. With chloroplasts. Reproduction, including sexuality and cysts unknown. Marine oceanic, warm waters.
