Request PDFDescription: Filamentous; filaments relatively short, solitary, composed of cylindrical trichomes, slightly narrowed at the ends, not constricted at the crosswalls, and wide, colorless sheaths, usually irregularly swollen and wavy on the surface; filaments grow endophytically within sheaths of other filamentous bluegreens or epiphytically, creeping on their surface. Cells more or less isodiametric or slightly longer or shorter than wide, end cells conical-rounded. Cell division crosswise to the long axis of a trichome. Reproduction probably by the fragmentation of trichomes. The single species was described from filaments of Porphyrosiphon in Angola, and not found or revised since.
