Description: Solitary, apparently wall-less, rapidly swimming flagellate. Cells asymmetrically ovoid with rostrate apex and two unequal lateral flagella. One flagellum ca _ ( cell length, the other ca half cell length. One parietal chloroplast with large pyrenoid, nucleus central. An eyespot not seen. Two contractile vacuoles. This flagellate which measures 11 ( 18.5 µm was found in cold fresh water in Manchuria and was considered by its author to be related to Trichloridella, another green flagellate of uncertain affinities.
