Taxonomic status: currently regarded as a synonym of Mougeotiopsis.
Description: Thallus aquaticus, simplex vel parce ramosus, e cellularum serie simplici constitutes; cellulae chlorophorum singulum axile, rectangulariter laminiforme et vario modo leviter curvatum, pyrenoidibus destitutum foventes. Generatio ignota.
