Request PDFDescription: Filaments solitary, lacking sheath material. Trichomes motile, without branching, straight to curved, flexuous, thin, less than 3 µm in diameter. Hormogonia formed by simple fragmentation without necridia. Cells nongranular or with colored elongated granules, with polar bodies resembling aerotopes typically at crosswalls, with parietal thylakoids.
