Request PDFDescription: Cylindrical, mucilaginous, richly branched, annulate. Uniaxial, each axial cell bearing four cortical fascicles of subdi-, -trichotomously branched filaments of progressively smaller, subcylindrical cells. Rhizoids cloaking axial filament. Secondary pit connections and cuticle absent. Dioecious. Carpogonial branch and auxiliary cell branch borne on same adventitous filament in inner cortex. Auxiliary cell intercalary. Involucral filaments present. Tetrasporophyte unknown.
