Description: Dinoflagellate with a diatom endosymbiont, possessing a dinokaryotic and a eukaryotic nucleus. Eyespot triple-membrane bound and located in the dinoflagellate cytoplasm. Nonmotile cell with helmet-shaped cell wall. Reproduction by production of naked motile cells.
