Description: "Parasitic." Short stipe penetrating margins and flat surfaces of species of Callophyllis. Small, globose, simple or lobed several times, pale pink to cream-colored. Medulla of large, isodiametric cells with narrow branched filaments of short cells. Cortex of isodiametric to elliptical cells, progressively smaller toward cuticle. Single 3-celled carpogonial branch borne on supporting cell, which also serves as the auxiliary cell; only one subsidiary cell. Carposporangial mass separated by a few sterile filaments. Cystocarps immersed, protruding slightly. Carpostome and pericarp absent. Spermatangia superficial. Tetrasporophyte isomorphic. Tetrasporangia cruciate, scattered in cortex.
