Lectotype locality: Victoria Harbour (Esquimalt), Vancouver Island, British Columbia (Lindstrom et al. 2011: 671). Lectotype: Lyall; February 1860; LD (Herbarium Agardh) 23855 (left-hand specimen) (Lindstrom et al. 2011: 671). Notes: Lectotypified by Setchell & Gardner 1933:285, pl. 60 (Lindstrom et al. 2011).
