Type locality: Puerto Orotava [Puerto de la Cruz], Tenerife, Canary Islands (Woelkerling 1998: 331). Holotype: C. Sauvageau; Dec. 1904 - Feb. 1905; PC unnumbered, Sauvageau Herbarium (box collection) (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 237). Notes: Also holotype fragments at TRH B2-1680 (includes slides 1058 and 1059) (Woelkering et al. 2005: 237).
