Type locality: "lns. Toud; d'Urville." ; (Montagne 1842: 16) Holotype: PC; (Womersley 1984: 172) Notes: Womersley (1984: 172) for further details regarding this type locality: said to be Toud Island (Warrior Islet, Torres Strait, Australia), but probably near Hobart, Tasmania.
