This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Parallela speciosa (Korshikov) Štenklová & Fučiková.

Type locality: "[In the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic it is unknown. North of the European part of the USSR]."; (Korshikov 1953: 334) Notes: Lectotype: fig. 308 in Korshikov (1953), designated by Molinari Nova & Guiry (2020: 2).

Adjective (Latin), showy, splendid (Stearn 1973).
