Type locality: Georgetown, Tasmania (Womersley 2003: 443). Holotype: Harvey; LD 37833 (Harvey, Alg. Aust. Exsicc.158 I (Womersley 2003: 443). Notes: Isotypes NSW, A3660 and elsewhere (Womersley, 2003: 443).
Named for William Henry Harvey (1811-1866), Irish Botanist, collector and traveller.
