Type locality: Western Australia; (Silva & al. 1996: 524) Type: PC; (Huisman et al. 2015: 143) Notes: "parasit. in Corollina ancipite [=Amphiroa anceps], ad oras occid. Nov. Holland [western Australia]" (Huisman et al., 2015: 143).

Adjective (Latin), pectinate, with narrow close-set divisions like a comb (Stearn 1973).
