This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Callophyllis cornu-cervi (Perestenko) T.A.Klochkova, Kloczkova & S.M.Boo.

Type locality: ‘Mare Ochotense, insula Inonae, 15 m alt. ad saxa, 21 vii 1978, A.M. Schermetevsky legit.’; Type: A.M. Scheremetevsky; 22.VII. 1978; from a depth of 15 m, rocky substratum; LE; (Klochkova & al. 2013: 123) Notes: Iony Island, Sea of Okhotsk, Russia (Klochkova et al. 2013).
