Type information
Type locality: Faeroe (Dixon & Price 1981: 134). Lectotype: LD, Herb. Alg. Agardh 18997 (Dixon & Price 1981: 134). Notes: Other material: LD, Herb. Alg. Agardh 18994. C. Comments: as discussed under Callithamnion roseum ß tenue (q.v.). C. Agardh made use of Lyngbye exchange material of the latter entity as the basis for Callithamnion scopulorum. The original treatment of the latter quoted Callithamnion roseum tenue Lyngb".in its synonymy, although there is no mention of Ceramium scopulorum (q.v.), which had already been based (C. Agardh, 1824) on the same material.
