Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Sterrocladia amnica (Montagne) F.Schmitz.
Type Information
Type locality: "Ad rupes in torrentibus aquae dulcis... Kau dictorum. Leprieur no. 1112" [Guyana]; (Montagne 1850: 289) Lectotype (designated by Sherwood & al. 2012): PC; 0058868 (herb. Montagne) Notes: Kaw, French Guiana, Kaw, about 50 km from the sea (04º29'N, 52º02'W); Lectotype: Herbarium PC, Montagne collection (MA 3474), coll. Leprieur no. 1112 (Sherwood et al., 2012: 630). The PC material appears to be a single collection and if so is the holotype and the lectotypification is superfluous.
