Nomenclatural notes
Athanasiadis (2016: 1213) presents a case to change the orthography to "thyoides"; however, Art. 60.3 of the Melbourne Code prescribes "The liberty of correcting a name is to be used with reserve, especially if the change affects the first syllable and, above all, the first letter of the name.". The orthography "thyoides" is of long standing and should be retained. - (28 Feb 2017) - M.D. Guiry
