Type locality: [Table Bay, Cape Province, South Africa] (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 293). Type: HBG (Hommersand, Guiry, Fredericq & Leister 1993: 113). Notes: This type locality was first reported by Papenfuss (1940a: 220). [HBG, see Simons, 1983]. Collector : Ferdinand Krauss (Index Nominum Algarum). No locality is mentioned by Hering.
