Type locality: Cape of Good Hope, South Africa (Sea Point, Cape Town); (Silva & al. 1996: 321) Notes: This type locality was first recorded by Simons (1983: 807, fig. 11).

Adjective (Latin), flabellate, fan-shaped (Stearn 1973).
