Type locality: Abrantes, Campo Militar de Sta Margarida, Barragem do Monte Novo; (Bock et al. 2011: 642) Holotype: Botanical Museum at Berlin-Dahlem; B40 0040723 (air-dried and formaldehyde-fixed sample of strain ACOI 1719 (Bock et al. 2011: 642) Notes: Isotype: material of strain ACOI 1719 is maintained at the Coimbra Collection of Algae, Portugal.
