The type species (holotype) of the genus Rosenvingiella is Rosenvingiella polyrhiza (Rosenvinge) P.C.Silva.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Rosenvingiella tasmanica M.B.J.Moniz, Rindi & Guiry.

Holotype locality: Sandfly Bay, Otago Peninsula, South Island, New Zealand (45º54.10'S,170º39.17'E); (Heesch et al. 2012: 223) Holotype: figs 13, 15, 18: S. Adjective (Latin), south, southern (Stearn 1973).
