Holotype: herbarium BIO, Univ. of the Basque Country BIO-Algae4484 (resin block containing cells from strain Cr1EHU employed to prepare ultrathin sections) (Laza-Martinez 2012: 425). Notes: DNA sample: BIO-Algae4485. GenBank accession number: JN050857.
