Type locality: just outside Lake Isanuma, Isanuma, Kawagoe-shi, Saitam Prefecture, Japan; (Isaka et al. 2012: 766) Holotype: 23 April 2009; a small pond; TNS; TNS-AL-56978 (resin-embedded spheroids of "I-ro") (Isaka et al. 2012: 766, table 1) Notes: Strain: NIES-2739; UTEX LB 2967.
