Type locality: Belgium; (Index Nominum Algarum) Notes: Neotype culture: Indiana Algal Cult. Coll. N# 22 (INA). Authentic strain: SAG 211-2a, isolated originally from a pool in a forest of Oisquercq near Bruxelles, Belgium Neustupa et al. 2009: 168, 160).
