Type locality: area around Russell Key, Butternut Key, Duck Key and Bob Allen Key in Florida Bay, U.S.A. (25°3'49.18"N, 80°27'29.8"W); (Wachnicka & Gaiser 2007: 399) Holotype: epipelic; ANSP; slide ANSP G.C 5787 (Wachnicka & Gaiser 2007: 399, fig 36) Notes: Isotype: Slide CAS221098.
