Type locality: dwarf mangrove forest located close to L31E levee, ca. 1400 m. from Biscayne Bay coast, Florida, U.S.A. (25°28'24.3"N, 80°20'45.8"W) (Wachnicka & Gaiser 2007: 400). Holotype: in scrapings from artificial substrata (glass slides) in benthos. ANSP slide ANSP G.C 5795 (Wachnicka & Gaiser 2007: 400, fig. 40). Notes: Isotype: Slide CAS 222006.
