The type species (holotype) of the genus Amansia is Amansia multifida J.V.Lamouroux.
Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Echinosporangium semipennatum (J.V.Lamouroux ex Poiret) Kylin.

Type locality: "Nouvelle-Hollande" (probably Western Australia); (Silva & al. 1996: 492) Holotype: Peron; Herb. Lamouroux; (Womersley 2003: 329) Notes: This type locality was first recorded by Harvey (1863: pl. CCLXXIX). Isotype in PC (Womersley, 2003).
