Type Information
Type locality: "Hauula Beach Park (21°36' 43.3" N; 157° 54' 38.5" W), Oahu north shore, Hawaii (with 10 isotypes). Thalli from approximately -60 cm on coral heads (M.S. Doty, 24 February 1951)."; (Kraft, Conklin & Sherwood 2014: 23) Holotype: BISH; MSD[oty] #8669 (Kraft, Conklin & Sherwood 2014: 23) Notes: MSD #8669 (Kraft, Colkin & Sherwood, 2014: figs 2,3), with two sheets and 10 individual isotype thalli/fragments.
