Type Species
The type species (holotype) of the genus Colpomenia is Colpomenia sinuosa (Mertens ex Roth) Derbès & Solier.

Status of Name
This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Dactylosiphon wynnei (K.M.Lee, R.Riosmena-Rodriguez, Kogame & S.M.Boo) Santiañez, K.M.Lee, S.M.Boo & Kogame.

Holotype locality: off Hoedong, Jindo, Korea (34º25'17.17"N, 126º20'41.23"E); (Lee et al. 2014: 481) Holotype: 2 March 2013; epilithic on rocks covered with muddy sands in the lower intertidal zone; CNUK; CNU33055 (Lee et al. 2014: 481) Notes: Isotypes: CNU33049 to 33054 and CNU33056 to 33058 deposited in CNUK, Daejeon, Korea.
