Type locality: Ho Ba Be, Bac Kan Province, Viet Nam (22°26' N, 105°35' E); (Weide 2015: 265) Holotype (figs 3-5): Lora Stevens, Matt Landon, Vu The Long; January 2004; tropical freshwater dominated by bicarbonate with a pH of approx. 8-9.5; CAS; slide no. 223044 Notes: cores BBNB04 & BBSB04. Holotype: CAS: slide 223044 (fis 3-5, BBNB04, Drive 2, 37.5- 38.0 cm depth).
