This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Husseya rubra (Harvey) P.C.Silva.

Type locality: Bunbury, Western Australia; (Silva & al. 1996: 501) Notes: This type locality was first recorded by Gordon-Mills & Womersley (1984: 149).
