Type locality: Sydvaranger, Kjelmø [now Sør-Varanger, Kjelmøya], havnen [= harbour], [Finnmark, Norway] (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 310). Lectotype: Unknown collector; 3.viii.1887; collected at 4-6 fathoms. TRH B12-2327 (Woelkerling et al. 2005: 310).
