(2018: 252, table 2), some previous literature records based on EM of Chrysodidymus synuroides can be assigned to either Synura synuroidea (Québec, South Greenland, Michigan & Minnesota, Ontario, The Netherlands, New Hampshire, Czech Republic, North America, Ukraine, Scotland) or S. papillosa (Japan, Chile, Michigan & Minnesota, USA, Malaysia, Australia, Madagascar, Argentina, Brazil, Belize, Ecuador, North America, France, New Zealand, Vietnam, China). - (12 Sep 2018) - Wendy Guiry
This is a freshwater species.
Type locality: Dak Lua swamp (11°30'43"N, 107°22'56"E) in Cat Tien National Park, Dong Nai Province, Vietnam (Siver et al. 2018: 250). Holotype: E.S. Gusev; 10 March 2014; phytoplankton. IBIW SEM stub DL2/3 (Siver et al. 2018: 249, figs 13-15).
