Type Information
Type locality: Argentina, Catamarca Province, Lagun Negra (27°38'49"S, 68°32'43"W); (Shalygin & al. 2018: 541) Holotype: altitude approx. 4010 m; from temporarily flooded littoral of Laguna Negra (alkaline, hypersaline), situated in hyperarid environment, attached to substrate, close to the air-water interface among precipitated salt crystals; NMC; 865010 (Shalygin & al. 2018: 541) Notes: As dried biomass and also preserved in 4% formaldehyde solution.
