This is a marine species.
Type information
Type locality: "Habitat in littore Lancastriensi sed rarius" (Silva 1996-to date). Notes: Hudson specimen in Herbarium of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew but this cannot be regarded as a holotype (Dixon, 1959).
