Phyllophora spissa Suhr
Type locality: South Africa (between the Umzimkulu and Umkomaas rivers, Natal) (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 147). Notes: This type locality was first described by Papenfuss (1940a: 214) (Silva et al., 1996). According to Tronchin et al. (2003: 88), the type specimen, collected over a century ago in the southern KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa, may be an aberrant morphology of another species from the same locality.
