This is the type species (holotype) of the genus Delisea.

Type locality: "Nouvelle-Hollande" [probably from southeast Tasmania]; (Léman 1819: 42) Lectotype [designated by whom?]: CN; Herb. Lamouroux (Womersley 1996: 340) Notes: Womersley 1996: 340 notes: Type from "Nouvelle-Hollande"; lectotype(?) in Herb. Lamouroux, CN. (Probably from SE Tasmania).

Origin of Species Name
Adjective B (Latin), elegant (Stearn 1973).
