Syntype localities: Concepción, Chile (coll.: Durville); New Guinea (coll.: Lesson) (Silva 1996-to date). Type: Binder; Herb. Montagne, PC (Arakaki et al. 2011 Notes: Isotype: UC 435656, female; collector: Binder, Valparaiso, Chile (Arakaki et al. 2011).
