Type locality: Isla Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico; (Silva & al. 1996: 211) Holotype: Dawson; Dec. 18, 1949; HAHF; Dawson 8349, in box 56275, in vial 2352, and on slides 1882-1887 (Dawson 1953: 103) Notes: Dawson (1953: 103) cites type locality as outer margin of reef at extreme south tip of Isla Guadalupe, Baja California.
