This name is currently regarded as a taxonomic synonym of Hormophysa cuneiformis (J.F.Gmelin) P.C.Silva

Type information
Type locality: “Novae Hollandiae” [Western Australia] (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 652). Notes: Silva et al. (1996) recommend consulting Womersley (1967: 256) for more information on the type locality of this species. "Nov. Holl. occid." [may be the Shark Bay region] (Womersley 1987: 356).
