Type locality: Tami Islands, Huon Gulf, Papua New Guinea (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 250). Lectotype: Bamler; date not determined; PC (apparently missing); designated by Verheij, 1993: 43 (see also Verheij, 1994: 103) (Woelkerling 1998: 361).
