Lectotype locality: Port Phillip, Victoria, Australia; (Silva & al. 1996: 875) Type: Wilson; BM; (Womersley 1984: 253) Notes: Silva et al. recommend consulting Womersley (1956: 372) for further information on the lectotype locality of this species. Womersley (1984: 253) notes that the type locality is Corio Bay, Port Phillip, Victoria.
