This is a marine species.
Type locality: Tryon Island, Great Barrier Reef, Australia (23°15' S, 151°46' E) (Athanasiadis 1996: 43). Holotype: A.W.D. Larkum; 13-VII-1974; 10 m depth. MELU 24203 (Athanasiadis 1996: 43).
