This name is currently regarded as a synonym of Analipus filiformis (Ruprecht) Papenfuss.

Type locality: Beringön, temligen ymnig; något sällskaplig inom litoralregionen. [Bering Island, pretty abundant, somewhat gregarious in the litoral zone.]; (Kjellman 1889: 49)

Origin of Species Name
Adjective B (Latin), fusiform; swollen at the middle and tapering to each end like a spindle; narrowly ellipsoid (Stearn 1973).
