This is a marine species.
Type locality: Just east of Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, Mexico (Dawson 1953: 143). Holotype: Dawson; Jan. 10, 1947; On rocky shore. HAHF Dawson 3825, on sheet 55180, including vial 2259 and slide 1499 (Dawson 1953: 143).
