Type locality: Isla Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico (Dawson 1960: 17). Holotype: Dawson 8412a; Dec. 18, 1949.; dredged from a depth of 6-20m in the bay at the south anchorage off the village. The crusts were associated with Lithophyllum imitans. Herb. Beaudette Foundation (Dawson 1960: 17). Notes: Isotypes are in Herb. Beaudette Foundation.
