Adjective (Latin), arranged in two opposite rows (Stearn 1973).
General Environment
This is a marine species.
Habitat
Usually a deep-water species on rough-water coasts (Kraft & Womersley 1994: 460). Grows on rock, jetty piles, the seagrass Amphibolis antarctica and the brown alga Acrocarpia paniculata; from just below extreme low tides to depths of at least 11 m (Kraft 1978: 543).
